
Overview Of Jumbo Housing Coop Society
Jumbo Housing and Coop Society owns and holds property of every description on behalf of members and for their benefit. We also provide members living accommodation within the area of our operation at a fair reasonable price.
Registered in 2014, the First General Meeting was held on 19th July 2014 where members resolved to have a minimum savings of Kshs. 50,000 per member in order to increase the strength of investment portfolio and facilitate serious investment decisions.
Membership fee is Kshs. 1,200 (inclusive of a copy of the By-Laws).
Qualification for membership
- Member of Jumbo SACCO Society Ltd, their spouses and children who have attained the age of majority and business people with a common goal and vision of self economic empowerment.
- Has attained the age of 18 years except in case of a minor who is heir to a deceased member.
- Is of sound mind.
- Has not applied to be adjudicated as insolvent or is not declared bankrupt by a competent Court of Law.
- Has not been convicted of any criminal offense involving dishonesty or fraud and jailed for a period of three months or more during the last five years.
- Pays entrance fee and minimum share capital prescribed in the Society’s By-Laws.
- Accept to abide by and observe the provisions of these By-laws and other regulations and resolutions made by the members regarding the operations of the society.
